You can make one folder, but as you can see, I like to complicate things. One is for the VDub files and one is for the actual GIFs when they are done. For this I would probably name them GIF1 and GIF2. You can put them on your desktop if that’s the easiest. I use DVD Video Soft FREE Youtube converter for downloading videos from Youtube when I am in the mood (or just to put on my PSP). I was a bit iffy about installing it, but it doesn’t take up much memory or anything like that. You don’t have to open them every time you make a GIF or anything like that. It takes no time to download and is very easy to install.įor the AviSynth and CCCP, you just need to have them installed. I use the ‘Pro’ version but you can probably find another GIF tool, too, since I don’t do too much in GIF Animator.įor a torrent to this tiny program, Google its name 'torrent’. VirtualDubMod (“ALL INCLUSIVE” version): …ĬCCP: (you probably already had the cccp to play MKVs in the first place =P)Īnd I also personally use: Easy GIF Animator. The beginning of my tutorial is exactly learned from his, though, so it might be easier to watch the video.įrom his info: Programs/Utilites used: (All of them are FREE) I had already made GIFs in the past with ULEAD GIF Animator, but I wanted to start using MKV files since that’s what I have the most of, so I had to switch my method.īut before I even get started, keep in mind that you can learn the exact way the guy (or girl) in the video does them in his video and that’s using all free stuff, I just found that during a certain part of his tutorial I found something else easier for me. This is very long, but this is mainly because I write a lot not because the process is actually that long.įirst off, I found out the programs to use from THIS tutorial, however I do not use his exact method and I personally find mine a bit easier, but you can always try that one first. Note/Update: I went back to using Ulead GIF animator instead of Easy GIF animator, but as I mention in this post, most GIF animators will probably work.Īlso. Thumbnail links only work on my actual blog it seems. I do use one program that you pay for, but I am pretty sure there are very similar programs out there, being the GIF animator itself (or you can just use a torrent….). I believe most people use Photoshop, but I’ve never been too into Photoshop, so I am not one of those people. I´m living in Brazil, Cabo Frio area, 80 miles north of Rio on the coast.BE WARNED: THIS IS PROBABLY THE LONGEST GIF TUTORIAL ON TUMBLR, so you might want to check another one that has easier steps. P.S., I went into your site and found out that you have some Viking background as I do to, from my fathers side, far north of Sweeden, area of Björkliden and my Mom is from Tel Aviv, she´s born there. Thank you again Robert, hope you´ll be able to help me out, maaannnnn I need it so bad. Is there any other Gif Animator that just works like the UGA5? Yes, I have a Windows XP Virtual Mode but quality output is bad, too bad, seems that he takes some of the quality out, something like sandblasting the pictures. Also, I use to run UGA5 on Windows Xp SP3 and it worked just fine. If I click on him, he just appears to open but not, he does not. Actually, I don´t get anything out of it. Thank you for you helping me out with this. I never came across any explanation as to WHY. I know that on Vista, GA5 would work fine for some, and not at all for others. I assume from his post he didn't actually run the installer, but just copied from his W2K box to his Win 7 box, the entire C:\Program Files\Ulead yadda yadda\ directories. ![]() ![]() If the original poster, NealAZ happens to wander by, I'd like to know what "bells and whistles" he turned off. Have you tried it in Windows XP mode? (I hear you can run Win XP on Win 7 in some manner of Virtual Machine mode, but I've still yet to play with Win 7 to fiddle around.)
